From childhood to university…

Born in the very southernmost part of France, I grew up between the sea and the mountains, and I’ll tell you straightaway, I immediately fell in love with the former! I spent my childhood by my beloved Mediterranean Sea – with my feet wet and salt in my hair. Even today, I still recharge my batteries in both winter and summer along this coastline that I cherish so much. I was lucky enough to live close to Spain and to wander along the Costa Brava during my family holidays. This is where my interest in foreign cultures began and, little by little, my passion for languages grew. After completing my literary baccalauréat, with extensive language courses, I moved to Montpellier and enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Foreign Languages. I completed my final year at the University of Málaga through the Erasmus+ programme. It was truly a blissful experience: complete cultural and linguistic immersion! Between salsa classes and sightseeing, I attended more specialised translation courses, which really clicked for me. When my exchange year was over, I came back to the University of Montpellier to enrol in a Master’s degree in Translation, where I was able to explore different specialisations, including literary and audiovisual translation as well as proofreading – my three main areas of expertise today. During my internships, I realised that the doors had opened to a challenging and multifaceted career!

… to entrepreneurship

Right from the first year of my master’s degree in 2022, my entrepreneurial spirit was awakened. I contacted many experienced professionals to understand the ins and outs of this industry that fascinated me, I did numerous internships and I took on translation projects as a volunteer.

However, many questions arose: “Is this profession set to disappear, replaced by the giants of artificial intelligence?” “Is this really the right path for me and, if so, what added value can I bring?”

Although I had some doubts, I decided to follow my heart, which seemed to grow with every word I translated, every page I proofread and every project I was entrusted with. I moved forward with the conviction that quality, transparency and human kindness are essential to the success of any business, especially when it comes to reaching out to individuals, targeting a specific audience.

Therefore, in January 2025, I created Marion Marc Traduction with the goal of making your writing shine internationally. My aim is to share my expertise with you, lend you my eagle eyes and put my organisational skills at your disposal in order to help your words reach people all over the globe.

How I add value

I like clarity and versatility, both in my personal and professional life. In fact, it is rather paradoxical: I have my routines, which are fundamental for me to organise myself and successfully complete each task assigned to me, but I do not like to limit myself to a single mission or function.

It might be because I grew up buffeted by the sea breeze, but I thrive in big waves, which I’ve learned to surf through sheer determination. This might look like taking on a document with a tight deadline, offering you additional help after reviewing a project or finding the most suitable language solution for your complex need. My board can handle all kinds of conditions, allowing us to progress smoothly from wave to wave.

My primary role in working with you, irrespective of the service requested, is to help you see more clearly. I attach great importance to communication, not because I work with words (although that helps), but because I am committed to offering you a transparent and human collaboration. Working with me means focusing on sharing, integrity and the desire to excel.

On top of using my language and adaptability skills, I am here to accompany you in your internationalisation projects. Whether you are looking to launch your product in France or reveal the style of a foreign author or director, I will make sure your ship reaches the desired shore smoothly and easily.
